Turning Adversity into Achievement

Why do some people achieve more and follow their dreams? What keeps others from accomplishing more? Chad Burdick believes anyone can reach their goals with the right mindset—and he’s dedicated to helping others discover theirs.

Chad’s journey has been one of struggle, reward, and relentless learning. From overcoming adversity in his youth to building a career in leadership and coaching, he has learned that intentional action and a positive mindset can transform any challenge into an opportunity. There are many stories and finer details to his life that he uses when working with others.

His Story

(from a very high level)

Early Life: Chad grew up in a less than normal environment, moving from Massachusetts to Florida after the blizzard of ’78. His parents divorced when he was 12, and his father passed away when he was 14. A maltreating stepfather deeply affected Chad’s self-esteem—but also shaped his resilience.

High School: Troubling times and lack of focus led to declining grades, however Chad found success in sports and had things lining up well for his junior year. However, his stepfather decided to send him 1,000 miles away to the Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock Va. to focus on improving his grades.

Chad became a firefighter, won a public office election, and finally pursued his passion for music at the age 30. He joined a band, performed extensively, honed his craft and enjoyed a 13-year career sharing the stage with nearly 30 country music stars up and down the East Coast. Chad released several CDs with several self-penned songs included on them.
